Automately AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Data

When you register for an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
  • Subscription plan and billing status

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including:

  • Number of quotations, invoices, and captions generated per month
  • Dates and times of tool usage
  • Device type and operating system (for app performance)

Content Data

When you use our AI tools, we process the content you enter (business names, client names, item descriptions, post descriptions) to generate AI output. This content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing and is not stored permanently by Automately AI.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process your subscription and payments via PayMongo
  • Track your monthly usage against your plan limits
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
  • Encrypted password storage using bcrypt hashing
  • Row-level security policies restricting data access to authorized users only
  • Regular security audits and updates

While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database storage. Data is processed in accordance with Supabase's privacy policy.
  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI text generation. Content you submit is processed by Anthropic to generate responses. Anthropic does not use your inputs to train their models by default.
  • PayMongo — Payment processing. We never store your payment card details; all payment data is handled by PayMongo in accordance with PCI-DSS compliance.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage logs (which track your monthly tool usage for billing purposes) are retained for 13 months to support billing and plan management.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your personal data
  • Data portability (receiving a copy of your data)

7. Cookies

The Automately AI website uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
